The Manor for sale in the Imperial City

Imbel Manor in the Imperial City is located in the Talos Plaza District, and is only available if Jakben Imbel is not living there. If you have started the Thieves Guild questline, you must wait until he is dead, at the end of the quest The boots of Springheel Jak. Otherwise, you can purchase the Manor before you start the quest May the Best Thief Win. In that case, Armand will refuse to consider you for membership, and that entire quest line will be unavailable.

The Manor has beds for two companions in the servants quarters. There are display cases, and a large basement.

If you were considering joining the Thieves Guild just to acquire the unique Boots of Springheel Jak, you will get an opportunity to do so even if you buy the Manor first. A quest will be started in which the boots can be obtained.

Lower floor of Imbel Manor

The central area you encounter when you first enter the building is set up as an office, with a desk and chair, plus a second chair for the visitor. A counter is behind them, and a large circular rug occupies most of the floor.

To the left, screened by a row of bookcases and three display cases, is a private seating area (with its own wine rack).

The the right is another more open seating area intended as a reception area for the office.

Upper floor of Imbel Manor

Entering the upper floor from the eastern staircase takes you past the Servants' Quarters: two rooms containg a single bed each. There are desks, chest, cupboards etc. for each occupant.

The large dining room is adjacent. The ding table seats six, with plenty of venison, corn, radishes laid out, amd a considerable amount of wine to hand, both on the table, and in the two nearby wine racks. A small table sits to one side.

Basement of Imbel Manor

The basement is divided into three sections: A Wine cellar, a food cellar, and between those two, a workshop. The wine cellar holds several casks and barrels, as well as three racks containg at least fify bottles of Tamika's! There is seating in the corner of the food cellar, so those who come down for a midnight snack do not have to carry their finding back up to the dining room.

The workshop may be set up for a Mage, a Fighter, or a Thief/Assassin at the time it is purchased. The Mage layout will have a set of the best alchemical apparatus and storage for ingredients. Spellmaking and Enchanting stations added as a convenience, when the player becomes Arch-Mage. The Fighter layout provides a forge, an anvil, weapon racks, and a respawning chest with 10 repair hammers. The Thief layout has lots of storage, with 5 large display cases, and 15 chests.

Dome of Imbel Manor

The cozy room in the dome of the manor is the master bedroom, with a double bed, display cases, a desk and other comforts.
