Arcane University

When you visit the Arcane University, the Mage Apprentice Eugenie, the one that was assisting Malandil at the Ayleid chamber, will come to you with an alarming tale. A portal to Oblivion has opened in the trap room, and Daedra emerged. The trap killed them all, but then a strange man came out and asked that you be contacted. It was Haskill.

The Oblivion Portal

Take the portal to the Ayleid chamber. It now appears certain that the chamber is somewhere outside Tamriel, as Mehrunes Dagon was indeed able to open a portal to Oblivion there. Haskill is waiting inside and will tell you that an Oblivion Gate opened in Dementia, and the Mazken entered it, but only found a passage to the chamber. By luck, two Mazken entered the chamber at once, and the survivor was able to duck back into the portal before she was hit, and report back to Haskill.

Haskill surmises that Mehrunes Dagon opened the gate in Dementia simply to cause chaos there as a retaliation against the Champion of Cyrodiil, since you are now also the Lord Sheogorath, and the Isles are now your responsibility. He has no prospect of achieving a full conquest of the Realm, but a punitive expedition is well within his power, especially as you are new to your Lordship of the Shivering Isles, and potentially weak in your control there.

Haskill has already mobilized the Saints and Seducers against the menace of Dagon, and asks that you meet him at the place in New Sheoth for a council of war.

20 A frantic Eugenie has told me that Haskill has appeared in the Ayleid chamber with the Daedra trap, and asked her to bring me there. I'd better go find out what's happening.
30 Haskill has told me that there is an Oblivion Gate open in Dementia, and the portal in the trap room will lead me there. I should go through and meet him at the palace.
40 The portal leads to part of Mehrunes Dagon's realm, just like the ones in Tamriel. But there is no way to reach the Sigil Tower from this entrance. There must be another way in.
50 I have emerged in the Isles near Fellmoor. I need to go the Palace at New Sheoth and talk to Haskill.
60 I arrived at the Palace to find Dyus is there. I assume Haskill will explain.
70 0Yes Haskill and Dyus would like to rebuild Syl, as they believe she has an ability they need.
