Skyrim: Mountable Rider Armour

The Forge at Riders' Lodge

The Rider amrour can obly be made at the forge in the cellar of the Riders' Lodge, just like Skyforge armour is only made in Whiterun.

Many chest pieces are effectively pauldrons with extra chest straps (to attach a two-handed weapon). The straps alone can also be made and worn separately. A choice of belts for users of one-handed weapons, too.

Some styles have tall boots to regain some of the protection lost by exposing the breasts and torso. The design allows the bear to be rewarded without the need to remove any of the items. This helps the bear associate the reward with the combat, rather than its rider undressing.

The mage 'robes' can be made at the forge, using linen wraps, but they will need to be enchanted elsewhere. The enchantments on college robes are not easy to replicate without high levels of skill.

You can also make Vampire pieces, but will not be able to temper them, just like the regular vampire armors and robes.

None of the above items can be tempered. The Vampire boots can be improved with leather.
