Skyrim: Monastery of Dibella

Exterior View

You will find the Monastery of Dibella between Valthume and Cradle Stone Tower, built into the cliffs. There is only one entrance, at the side, up a couple of flights of stone steps. The door takes you into a short corridor into the nave of the temple chamber.

The Monastery is dedicated to the task of re3conciling those blessed by Dibella with their calling. Many women consider the blessing more of a burden, and need councelling and peer support. Although physical supoort might be more appropriate.

The priestesses celebrate Dibellas' bounty by going topless, in thin robes. The statues of the goddess herself are even more devoid of clothing. All of which is intended to exhibit pride in Dibella's blessing.

A large font at one end is surrounded by statues of DIbella, both large and small, and lit by tall stained glass windows. Two of the priestesses are usually in this area, worshipping at the font, or the nearby statues. Two more statues are in the passages at either side.

Refectory
Dormitory

Up short flights of stairs to either side of the nave, are two other areas. One is the refectory where the worshippers eat their meals, and on the opposite side is the Dormitory, with several rough beds in a communal space. There is also a small study/relaxation area at the back of the nave.
