This was the first of the Hearthfires mods. I'd become disappointed that the DLC didn't provide much variety in building styles, even if it did allow a choice of wings on the three sides. So I decided to make a completely new house along the same lines, and I happened to be playing an Orc at the time.
This mod allows the player to construct their own Orc longhouse, whether they're playing as an Orc or not, and it's available to male or female characters. You have to befriend several Orcs and complete the quest at Largashbur to get Malacath's blessing. Then a plot of land is provided by the Orc chieftains as a reward for all your services, and all you need to do is go build on it. You do not get a steward to do all the work, but can recruit staff after it's built.
The version released on the Nexus had no mine, and I had not added the Wise Woman's quest to the mod yet. Both of these, and the recruitable members of your new tribe, are in the latest one.
Construction begins with a small hut, which later becomes the Wise Woman's, but it gives you somewhere to live while you build the rest. The quest to rescue her does not start until the main building is complete, and furnishing started.
Once you have a Wise Woman, then she can recruit additional members. You get a smith, a hunter and a guard, and in each case, you have the choice of gender. When you re-open the mine, there are a fixed set of three workers, hired at one time.
More details are in the Fake Wiki walkthrough.

Mod (1.0) as last uploaded to the Nexus for SE.
The readme has not been updated, so references to the Nexus site are obsolete. This is now the only legitimate source.
The mod is packaged as a BAIN archive, because I use Wrye Bash. That is compatible with other mod managers, but may require some extra work. I will NOT ve re-packaging any of my mods for other managers, especialy not Nexus ones.
The version (2.0) that adds the wise Woman and the other staff, including a mine with miners, is working on my system, but still has
a few small issues to work out, such as adding a quest for recruiting the guard. Yarob is not voiced yet, and that could be done by a
human, or via Voice Symthesis. If you feel brave try it.
2.2 Beta for for SE. with Voices, and fix for the missing key.
