Darkeyes is a real Lusty Argonian Maid. Voranil has read the book and wants one of his own, so when Tolisi Girith turns out to be a Mythic Dawn sleeper agent, and is killed, he replaces her with Dark-Eyes.
As she puts it it His spear isn't exactly huge but she's quite happy to polish it as long as he pays her well. What she's not happy about is the expectation that her pay includes similar services for his party guests. That's going beyond the original terms of her deal, and she doesn't like that.
