Falkreath is a town just beyond the border between Cyrodiil and Skyrim. It is the seat of the Jarl of Falkreath, the Nord equivalent of a Count.
It is a quiet little town, there is just one Inn, a Smithy, and the Alchemist trades from his one-room home. There is also a bear-trainer in town, but she has her order book full supplying the Imperial Legion Mountain Riders.
The main trade is timber, supplied across both the nearby borders to Cyrodiil and Hammerfell. Now that the region is relatively peaceful, there is enough trade to sustain the small community, but the many graves outside the chapel indicate that peace is fleeting for a border town.
The Chapel, dedicated to Arkay, stands on a rise at the edge of town, and is visible from over the border in Cyrodiil. The priestess, Martine, is known to be also a follower of Dibella, and has her own private shrine on the roof of the chapel tower.
